Champion of the Month - August 2008

Marilyn is an advocate for resident’s rights. She is always
willing to listen to the residents as well as resident’s family
members and her fellow staff members. She always wants to know
if there are any concerns and what she can do to alleviate them.
Marilyn is reliable and always goes above and beyond. She is
willing to work any floor or shift when it is needed. She
handles stressful situations, always remaining calm. She is
professional at all times, knows her job and does it well! One
CNA commented “Marilyn is far and away the best nurse I have
ever worked under. If I could ever choose to work with or under
anyone she would be the only nurse I would choose. She is not
only the best nurse, but a fantastic person.”
OHCA recognizes Marilyn for her contributions to enhancing the
quality of life for residents, family members, the community,
and to the working environment for staff and co-workers. Thank

OHCA is pleased to offer the
"Champion-of-the Month" program – a new way for OHCA members to
highlight members of their staff who have made an extraordinary
contribution. This program recognizes the achievements of an
individual employee for contributions that have positively
influenced the quality of life for residents, resident's
families or the quality of the working environment for
