This week, AARP released an updated national scorecard that ranks states on their performance on long term care services and supports. Once again, AARP places OregonĀ among the top states that out-perform others in the delivery of services and supports to older adults and people with disabilities.
The top-ranking states in the 2020 Scorecard include Minnesota, Washington, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Vermont. The states rounding out the bottom include Florida, West Virginia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
The new report measures long term care services and supports system performances in affordability and access, choice of setting and provider, quality of life and care, support for family caregivers, and how care transitions take place.
