Become a Clinical Site for the Oregon Online NAHH Training Initiative

The Oregon Online NAHH Training Initiative provides scholarships, assures student access and completion, and provides continuing education and mentorship training for students and CNAs at clinical sites.

Clinical sites are critical for the successful completion of a nursing assistant training program, which require 75 hours in a clinical setting. Becoming a participating facility helps increase educational capacity for the ever-growing need for CNAs in your community.

Additional benefits to participating clinical sites include:

  • Opportunity to recruit nursing assistants from the students attending clinical classes at your facility who receive scholarships for the training;
  • Learning best practices in being a clinical site for students and in partnering with the community college’s online nursing assistant training program;
    • Receiving FREE mentorship training for your selected CNAs, which will:
    • Increase their problem solving abilities,
    • Improve their interpersonal communication skills,
    • Develop their leadership skills,
    • Build their teaching and coaching skills, and
    • Help to build a career ladder within your facility;
    • Implementing a peer mentor program can help to increase your CNA retention and decrease turnover rates;
  • Access to online continuing CNA2 education for CNAs through the community college, that will help to build a career ladder within your facility;
  • Building a supportive culture within your facility that will improve staff, resident and family satisfaction;
  • Increasing quality of care for residents.
