The OHCA 40-hour Administrator Training Program is recognized by the State of Oregon Seniors & People with Disabilities to fulfill the requirements of 853-035-0000 (Residential Care Facility Administrator Application Requirements; (6) Submit proof of having completed at least 40 hours of training pursuant to OAR 853-035-0100.)

This training course offers a unique opportunity to explore balancing regulatory requirements with principles of community-based care programs concepts and practical implementation of critical resident services from highly respected consultants and community-based care professionals. Through balanced information, resource materials and interactive exercises, attendees will develop critical thinking skills needed to comply with regulatory intent while keeping the needs and desires of residents at the core of all systems in an ALF/RCF. Each program day, focuses on a critical element of ALF/RCF administration:

• Day One: Foundation of ALF/RCF Administration
• Day Two: Foundational Practices of Resident Move-in and Person-Centered Care
• Day Three: Administrator Role in Resident Health Services
• Day Four: Survey Process and Quality Improvement Programs
• Day Five: Connecting with State Agencies/Regulatory Principles

Successful completion of this virtual training program requires participants to attend live virtual training in its entirety, complete online learning modules and independent study elements.

Certificates of completion are awarded for successful completion of course and final assignment. Registration fee must be paid in full to receive certificate of completion.
