Calendar

In coordination with World Elder Abuse Day, which happens every year on June 15 and represents the one day in the year when the whole world voices its opposition to the abuse and suffering inflicted to some of our older generations, OHCA will host this full-day educational event.

Sessions will include:

• Open discussion of abuse guidelines, laws, and reporting with DHS
• An overview of person centered care and resident rights related to intimacy
• A discussion on dementia, consent, and resident protections
• A presentation on the rights of LGBTQ residents and abuse prevention
